Deciding which way to go can be a daunting exercise. But that’s not even the hardest part. Afterwards, you need to communicate the new strategy and ensure people will adopt it.
The method I have created ensures that people understand why we have a new strategy and what it means in their day to day work. We start by looking at our mission (“Why does our organisation need to exist?”), then define our strategy (“How do we earn money from customers?”) to finish with our tactics (“What does this mean for the work that needs to be done in the teams?)
This approach is executed in a mixed team of leadership, management and operational staff. I is usually done over the course of 2 weeks with 3-4 days of involvement from me.
